My family has been a resident of Metro Detroit for 4 generations. My father was a Detroit Firemen, my grandfather and uncle as well.
I graduated from East Detroit HS in 1985. I attended Macomb Community College and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the American University of Paris in International Affairs.
I chose to live in Grosse Pointe Park 15 years ago, because of the diversity I found here.
I was looking for a community that would provide my children a clear understanding that the world is NOT made up of just one “NOTE” but a symphony of different “NOTES” that show “different” can live and work together to create community.
And to prepare them to understand that diversity is a positive, and there is much to learn from those that are different from us.
My daughter Paulina graduated 2023 from Grosse Pointe High School and is attending Miami University in Oxford Ohio.
My son Franklin attends GPSHS as a junior and will continue to play football and basketball and attend honors classes.
I am confident that my professional and work experience has prepared me for the role of Mayor. And my commitment to giving back to my community will make positive strides to move our city forward in ways that will build confidence and trust in our administration and its ability to manage our fine city.
Leadership matters. And I am ready to lead.
